Our Impact

We work with refugees, immigrants and people in need in Virginia and surrounding areas on improving their lives through direct practice.

Africans United Communities of Charlottesville from different backgrounds have a huge impact on us and all our activities. They highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help them in all possible ways to regain hope and flourish in life.

What we do

We Find & Fund

We are in search of opportunities to help as many refugees, immigrants and people in need in Virginia and surrounding areas as possible. We approach and fund all those who are in need.

We Provide Care

 Refugees, immigrants and people in need in Virginia and surrounding areas seek a helpful hand and right guidance at every stage. Here’s where we take care of them like our own.

We Educate

We run small-scale training programs for the underprivileged refugees, immigrants and people in need in Virginia and surrounding areas of daily wage workers for a better future.

We Employ

We run organizations where we employ people from any background (without distinction of race, sex, religion, etc.) so they can live their dreams for themselves and their families.

LTLGBC

The Project Learn, Train, Lead, Give Back to the Community (LTLGBC) is the organization’s special project in partnership with schools, colleges and universities. It is a set of programs for refugees, immigrants and other people in need which combines:

  • Giving opportunities to students to use their skills while pursuing their studies in educational institutions by volunteering and working for the organization to prepare for their future career after the academic journey
  • Building bridges between students, educational institutions and communities not associated with life on campus, ground and school environment
  • Keeping refugees and immigrants families united by providing employment to students after their studies in order to ease their integration in the new place of residence
  • Encouraging refugees and immigrants to work on their education once they arrive in their new communities.
